After a long hiatus, Yumé Records is back with neinzer's hotly anticipated Flurry/Obsoletion EP. The tracks were written in 2018 and first previewed to Yumé during a memorable drive home from Baskerville Hall. However, release was stalled by long sojourns in South-East Asia and West Africa, as well as the global pandemic. Over that time, the tracks have gained support from a handful of DJs, including Ben UFO, Or:la and Bradley Zero. Finally, here they are presented in 12" vinyl and digital formats.
The A side, Flurry, is a resonant drum work-out, applying pressure with the use of manic sirens and patient bassline shifts. Its progressive structure and steady groove provide concentrated fuel for every shifting body on the dance floor.
The B side, Obsoletion, is a darker, more distorted, techno trip. It is lyrically and sonically inspired by technologically dystopian fantasies, only one world removed from our own.credit
